I can save you a little time with the dailykos links, don't bother on my account. The difference is, I'm afraid, that they know that they are making ridiculous claims and comments but you don't know it.

Ok if Doug agrees then I change my mind.

New to car washing, and would like some input please.

I always wanted to be JB and Bill gave me my chance! I opened in a town that had nothing but touch-free autos. I bought a Softgloss and it was absolutely the right decision. Cars get cleaner and chemical expenses are WAY less. I can see no reason that high impact should be just as effective as...

The amount of fuel burned to mine uranium is miniscule compared to the energy used to mine coal and drill for oil and gas. Every tanker that crosses the ocean is as big of an envoiromental risk as disposing of spent nuclear fuel. Misinformation and the money spent to spread the misinformation is...

    Universal Medical Care

Yep the people who came up with the democratic primary rules want to be in charge of your health care. About 95% of the people on this forum know that these are ridiculous promises, so where in the world are all the people who think it would be a good idea to have 1 of these idiots as president...

New to car washing, and would like some input please.

I assume that you are going to the iCA show next month. I would bet that if you show up there with your checkbook you can look at all of the machines and cut a good deal. Just make sure that whatever you buy you can get serviced. If I had mine to do over I would put in a friction and a touchfree...

Add nuclear power to your equation and it makes lots of sense. Clean energy into more clean energy. Nuclear is the only feasible answer available to us at this juncture. Oddly it is the same people who claim to be "green" that oppose nuclear. How do you look at a smokestack at a coal fueled...

Saddan had no link to Al Qaeda, report censored

The fact that you PAID that for diesel has a hell of a lot more to do with the price of oil than GWB does. If people coming to your car wash are willing to pay $12 for a wash would you sell it for $6? Anyone who thinks politicians have anything to do with the price of oil are deluding...

Saddan had no link to Al Qaeda, report censored

Wash-a-roo, Bush ran against algore and John Kerry. Surely you would have to vote for him again. Sadly he is probably better than any of the 3 losers in the race this time. Hillary and Obama are going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I can prove it too because it is printed on the...

    Softgloss breaking mirrors

Thanks Mark. I had a bad mac valve and the gauge was bad too. I turned up all 3 of my soaps. I switched about a year ago to using 2 conditioners with my regular detergent because I was getting so many suds it was hard to rinse off. I may need to revisit that.

    Softgloss breaking mirrors

No, same soap. The pressure apparently is changing on it's own. I just got out there and it was reading 15 lbs. and I have not touched it. The bay has been full all day. I'm going to change the solenoid if it ever gets empty.

    Softgloss breaking mirrors

We have broken 2 mirrors in the last 2 days and 4 in the last month. I think before this month we had broken 5 in 5 years and 4 of those were Pontiac Grand Ams. I have "rear return" down to 7 pounds. Cars are lined up into the road today and will be tomorrow so I'm kind of nervous. Am I missing...

    new brushes

Do I have the option of using other brands of motors? I just ordered replacements that look like my old ones. They are the new style GS (brushes with just a copper strand). If I change brands do I need to change both motors? Thx

    new brushes

I just replaced my first set of brushes in a vac motor. I know this is old hat to most of you guys but being electrically challanged I am very proud of myself. It was very easy. I'm wondering if it was too easy. Is all you do pull out the old stub and put in the new one? Is that likely to fix...

    Ryko door control

Pat, Yes I notice my Mark7 competitor doing it all the time. You forget that I am electrically and mechanically challanged so "easily adding a toggle switch" may not necessarily so easy. I'll get one of my less "challenged" friends to take a look at it. Soapy, I'm a little leary of jacking...

    Ryko door control

It is really windy today. My doors are on a thermostat but I would like to close one to keep the wind from blowing the soap away. Is that possible? I have air lift doors but a Ryko control box. Thx J

    compressor again

Yeah, I ordered the check valve. I just need to go to Lexington to get it. I didn't see anything the first time but I cleaned it and put it back and it quit.

    Automatic Installaions

Given how overbuilt the industry is I would be leary of becoming too dependent on new installations.

I guess you were right. The unloader is back to leaking all of the time now.

    What?s Fair and Just Restitution

I just caught some clown with a whole pickup full of trash bags pulling up to my dumpster. I doubt his truck has ever been washed so I had no qualms about making him dig them all out. What an idiot.
