    Heat for air machine?

I installed an Adams Air machine over the summer and it seems to have frozen up during the cold weather. I was wondering if anyone has installed any heating pads inside the machine to help with that, or if there was a better way to keep it warm?

Air running to FB and TF when FB in use

I bought the teflon version after reading comments here on the forum. Are you saying they need high pressure to form the seal initially then they work fine?

Air running to FB and TF when FB in use

No, I noticed it a couple of months ago. All bays would have white foam coming out from the TF and FB when FB was used in any bay. Found out that the brush was running into the weep manifold, and since FB and TF weep are on the same manifold, that's why they both had the issue. I went into...

Air running to FB and TF when FB in use

Sure. Just in the trough, or all the way? In the trough, air and chemical tee in together and share a check valve. They then attach to another t that has the weep attached to it via a check valve. Here is a picture: The green lines are air. The blue lines are product and the yellow lines...

Air running to FB and TF when FB in use

I just spent time replacing all 20 check valves that went to the product and week for the TF and FB, and I still have the same problem! When the brush is being used, foam+air is coming out of the check valve. I made sure that it was installed the correct direction, and it is the fluid controls...

    Motor replacement

Is there a way to attach an audio file? I wanted to upload a file of the noise a couple motors are making. Sounds more like something loose rattling than a knocking sound.

    Question about fluctuation water pressure

I bought the total rebuild kit, replaced every part. To be fair, it did fix my problem of water running all the time. I wonder what is causing the fluctuation in pressure and want to be sure that the backflow is the issue. I do have others installed at other locations and everything is bone dry.

I've had the same issue and almost gave up, but wd-40 fixed it right up.

    Motor replacement

Are sealed bearings all permanently lubricated since they are sealed? Also, because of my ignorance regarding greasing motors and asking the wrong people, I put way too much grease in all of my motors. What is my best/worst case scenario now? 2 already have a loud whining noise and need...

    Question about fluctuation water pressure

    Question about fluctuation water pressure

With it raining this morning, I took by backflow preventer apart to check it. Everything was clean and seemed to be sealing properly. All parts are less than one year old and the brass doesn't seem worn, so what else can I check for/fix that would cause it to spit water every time a...

    Motor replacement

My motors say they use 6205+6206 bearings. How do I know which to buy? I see so many different bearings with the same dimensions. http://www.vxb.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=6205

    Motor replacement

I'm looking at a motor of the same brand. Frames match up, but wasn't sure if there were minimums I needed to get regarding RPM etc to ensure it will work as a good replacement for a pump stand.

    hydrominder question

I never knew a restrictor thing even existed in the discharge tubing until browsing KR last night. What does it do?

    Motor replacement

Good info. I did mean the bolt pattern, just slipped my mind when I was typing the post. Are there any other specs that matter if I am replacing a 5hp 3 phase motor with another that is 5hp 3 phase?

    hydrominder question

Hmm. I never thought to change the plastic stem since I never had one go bad. It seemed fine, but I do have a brass one that I can throw in there. What goes wrong with the stem? What about the black piece that the diaphragm sits in? Does that ever go bad?

    hydrominder question

Good tip on the screen, I already ruined one trying to get it out from the connection side. I've been ok when I shut off an internal valve, but whenever I have to shut off the whole wash, I usually do find debris. Thankfully now I have shut off valves for just about every function.

    hydrominder question

Incoming water is 55psi, there is a screen where it screws in, (I need to confirm that it is clean) and I have replaced both the diaphragm and eductor. Now that you mention it, I can't remember if I checked the screen since I have to shut the water off to the stand to do so. I am putting in a...
