What tip are you using? What product and air setting are you using? In general product should be twice air.

You can purchase the winter blend (does not have ceramic) and use straight if cold is for extended timeframe, or mix with the non winter blend if just cold at night.

Dave Richards has a YouTube video for installing the retrofit kit. Real question is can you purchase the harness that goes to the controller and the metal plate that closes the old swiper hole separately or do you need to purchase the entire kit.

Is your IBA a touch free or soft cloth? Guessing soft cloth as touch free does not compete with a tunnel. I would not expect SS to be affected as those people still like hand washing their car.
