How much for your vacuums and time in bay?

Bays: $1 for 2 min. Vacuums: $.50 for 3 min ... $1coin for 7 min(bonus 1 min). Credit & Debit cards heavily used in our very profitable ATM. Our $1 coin bonuses possibly are not as attractive as some credit card rewards but we all should know this: Their rewards are mostly just a...

Insurance going up $1000 for this bull$hit

Even a small claim history can make a difference when it comes to commercial insurance based on an unpleasant situation we had. In our case about 8 years ago we had a claim .... that we listened to our agent on his recommendation ... to turn it in instead of absorbing the total cost ourselves...

Insurance going up $1000 for this bull$hit

I am glad I invested the time to shop for my insurance last year because the new independent agent- came up with about $1,000 savings. Hopefully, you will find a new underwriter who is more fair. Watch out to make sure you have equivalent coverage or even better coverage though!!!

Soft or Hard Water High Pressure Rinse

All of my car wash water is softened. I could be wrong but at some point it seems like if there were too many grains of hardness at the locality ... it could cause more maintenance on the high pressure pumps???

Cryptopay No longer offering First Data Merchant Processing

Sparkey & others, Thanks for the heads up about this since Cryptopay appears to be getting more intense with their sales pitch for the coin operated laundromat business. I would post about this new event alert ... on the laundromat forum sites but ... unlike this forum ... it is very possible...

    "Canned Response" needed!!!

I chuckled at Earl's & Soapy's response-approach! As long as those responses were done in just the right tone of voice & body language! Relief expression on one's face with ... a very accentuated swipe across the brow etc! Randy, Every demographic is different but a lot of the...

    Hours spent on property

Debra, Since I have an office at our facility ... a lot of my on site time is spent hopefully doing other productive things ... so does standby alert for the assistant door-intercom (door-fon) to ring count? BTW ... we took a phone call for one of my competitors who also has automatics. The...

When I see someone washing their car in their driveway, I _____________-

Fill in the blank: When I see someone washing their car in their driveway, I am happy I am no longer the landlord who shoulders their water bill!!! I was falsely accused one time by someone saying that I was one of those who wants laws outlawing such activity ... just was not & continues to not...

    Cryptopay worth it?

Zachb, Your demographics has a bearing on it. I am in a more rural area ... so some other convenience items such as ATM, bill acceptors in the bay, & making sure our 2 changers give out plenty of waterproof dollar coins make it so we can more than "hold our own" with some brand new credit card...

Electroswitch two stack 8 position rotary switch change?

I am kind of partial to 12 selection menu buttons. But then I got talked into that way back in 1987 so of course it is understandable that I would not want to belittle myself for that momentous decision that I made. I am not denying that with the accompanying extra distribution PCB etc that...

    Melted wire/contactor from electric motor

MANLO, If you go back on some previous posts ... Randy Nix & others have gone with a pressure reducing regulator on the city water side rather than gravity. Something to consider.

Good online site to buy a custom banner?

Buildasign.com has been our recent choices. Has anyone used kleenrite.com , eSigns.com &/or Banneronthecheap & found any of them specifically better than their specific experience (if they are familiar) with buildasign.com? I agree with the significant savings & also sometimes the quickness...

    Jarvis 320W Scottsdale retrofit LED

Greg & others, LEDs run cooler than other alternative technology it seems. It would be helpful ... if someone logged temps emitting from specific fixtures &/or specific modified fixtures.

Ball valve or gate valve for RO system?

Based on experience with balancing pipe flows on a modular boiler system I would say that a ball valve would tend to be the better more durable choice. Not sure on actual pressure changing reliability factor. It seems like on ours there is kind of a valve that makes the pressure less on the...

    Hard to See HTKs TouchScreen

That is where we learned on our dogwash EZautomation touchscreens that the "nits" specification is very important. Our workaround was our ability to change the Font for the lettering to a more filled out & bold characters. It sounds like Hamilton might not allow that level of modification by...

Recommendations for a coin counting scale

No offense but that honestly has not been our experience with higher denomination coins.... we do not take nickels, dimes or pennies. Coins are waterproof ... many advantages to coins!!! The key is to find ways to make higher denomination coins publicly available much more than they are as in...
