    Credit card or Bill acceptors

Is First Data the only option when it comes to processing when using Cryptopay? I called them to set up an account, but was wondering if there were cheaper options.

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

My other location uses the Mars 2412 acceptors and I had good luck buying extras on ebay. I made sure that they had been recently refurbished and were already upgraded to accept the new $5 bill. Still got them for under $100. I just ordered the whole cryptopay setup, (six swipers, controller...

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

I am going to place an order of the bill acceptor boxes tomorrow and need to decide if I want him to include the bill acceptor. Cost is $789 with the acceptor, and $275 less without. Any thoughts on which is the better way to go?

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

I wondered because the Etowah Valley boxes come with Mars 2612 acceptors and as far as I know, the only difference between them and the Mars 2412 is that the 2612 accepts $10 bills in addition to the $5 and $1 bills. I have been considering ordering the boxes without the bill acceptors and then...

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

I just figured that most washes would be around $5 and accepting $10 would increase the likelihood of some moron that doesn't take the time to read complain about not getting change.

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

In regards to credit card acceptance, I looked in Wash Card because of the built in loyalty program, but they want $6700 for the server, $1000 for each swiper, then you have to run ethernet cable to each bay. Cryptopay it is. On the bill acceptors, does anyone have them set to accept $10...

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

Why would someone actually put the nozzle on the bill acceptor and spray? Are there any advantages to that other then causing damage? I like your setup with the add-on box and cryptopay and it is likely what I will end up with. Where are your coinboxes located in relation to the bay?

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

I would never separate the acceptor from the coin box, especially since I will mount the cc swiper to it. My only concern is the overspray. Will I have to worry about overspray affecting the cryptopay swiper as well? Have you had issues with water on your bill acceptors? Did you do any kind...

Sounds like a great idea. Any chance that you could send me a picture of the setup? Thanks.

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

I thought about that but would much rather have them next to each other. I have decided for sure that I want to add bill acceptors and credit card acceptance to all bays, just haven't decided on the details. For credit cards, I am leaning towards cryptopay but like the features of Wash card...

    Credit card or Bill acceptors

I am planning on adding bill acceptors to my bays but one thing that I am worried about is how wet they will get. My coin boxes are located right in the middle of the bays and the quarters are always wet when I pull them out. That tells me that if I put the bill acceptors right next to the...

    Cryptopay Mounting

Now that would have been a great deal :) I asked about getting it without the bill acceptor and he first told me to deduct $300 from the price, but now he says he would only deduct $275 so it's not much of a savings over buying a used one on ebay.

    Cryptopay Mounting

I am referring to that box. Jim said that the site pricing is outdated and that the box is now $780. I have seen complete boxes for around 2k, but this is just a box with a bill acceptor, no timer or coin mech or anything else.

    Cryptopay Mounting

I thought about doing that, but my boxes are not recessed so they wouldn't look as nice if I have the swiper on the wall next to them. I thought about just adding a ss L bracket to the side of my current coin box then mounting the cryptopay to that. Not sure how nice it would look or if it...

Add separate coin box or replace existing?

I will upgrade them. Wish I had sent them off last week, it's been a dead 10 days.

Add separate coin box or replace existing?

Anyone have experience dealing with Jim at Etowah Valley? I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago regarding the purchase of an add-on bill acceptor box and he said that he would email me a list of options to consider, just in case I decided to replace the whole coin box. After not hearing back, I...

Found a new one on eBay for $197 shipped, will have my spare in a couple of days :)

Add separate coin box or replace existing?

I do have a spare of just about everything else, no idea why a timer is not one of them. Where is the best place to get a spare dixmor timer? Btw, dixmor emailed me back but said the following: "The 7.33 firmware will work. There is, however, a problem with that version that, under just the...

Add separate coin box or replace existing?

I spoke to dixmor and it is only $25 to upgrade them, but the problem is being without while they are being upgraded. I would have to send a couple at a time or something so that I can stay open.

Add separate coin box or replace existing?

I spoke to genesis and they told me that the dixmor timers need to be 7.32 or later in order to work. I have 7.33 firmware in all my timers. Are you sure that I need 7.36?
