    Wall Paneling

Soapy, Bill, & others, Do you find the Farm Teks easier to keep clean or is that charactaristic exactly the same as the FRP? Is 3/16" thickness the best? If an operator was fussy about with hole placement & alignment like Bill does ... flipping them seems to be something to consider. mike

    Replacing T5 Bulbs...

Is there a trade off on life of bulbs per T5s vs others? Mark & others, I don't want to jump to conclusions but based on what you & Randy wrote it seems like there could be a worthwhile longer life with the T8s vs the T5s or T12s. The (quantity) of energy savings of the T5s might not look...

Is a sign required when using surveillance cameras?

If I remember right, there was a period of time when a large number of self service car wash operators went without insurance because the rates had skyrocketed out of range. Possibly, JJJ still monitors some of the posts & can shed light on that time period in our history.

    What is an Appropriate Response?

Excellent Points! Hopefully, we can be firm (in a good way) & still not lose the customer or the referral from the customer. mike

    New Functionality For my Changer

Big Leo, I am curious to know what the Mars kit portion total cost was & who you bought it from. I assume the labor was not that bad for the changeover if the harnesses or connectors were already pre-made etc. I looked at the link to the ethernet relays & it seems like it could be of value...

    1 bay with out power

Tpoppa, A 24vac non contact low voltage voltprobe is not as good as a full fledged multimeter but non contact voltprobe can be of value checking at what point you are loosing your voltage. mike

    Bank repo

Swampdonkey, If you are in eastern Montana where there is new development because of the oil field frenzy ... that could be a factor in deciding that the additional car wash would add to potentially needed capacity at your existing place. mike in neighboring north dakota

    How to dry coins

It would help to dry fewer coins without an income hit! Seattleguy & others, It would help to dry fewer coins without an income hit! The labor required is just another subtle cost. I think most of us agree that 1/4 or 1/8 as many coins to dry with more net income from coins makes sense & is...

    Video over twisted pair

Big Leo & others, I agree with both of Big Leo's detailed posts on this issue. Having used twisted pair (plain old twisted pair telephone line) cable since 1982 for video on a 1200 foot line ... It seems like coax would have had its advantages. I know that the cable company uses coax which...

    Air shammee???

Similar experience. At that time I was more naive & less understanding, I approached my electrician & asked him why the multimeter was dancing from 0 to 190volts on that leg to ground. When he kind of chuckled & said "that was the wild leg" ... I responded emphatically "Now you tell me" I...

Motor Starter for 1/3 HP Motor???

Based on our experience ... some electric utilities actually put a construction charge (or threaten to) for any extra expense to them for adding 3 phase. I suppose if the more convenient to them wild leg is also cheaper for them ... it might affect whether they charge at all or how much they...

    new loonies are out

http://www.magikist.com/index.php?pid=4&sec=6000&sub=6010&product=247 At their website it says up to 3 tokens iCoin ... that explains why I stated 3 coin. Apparently I was wrong to assume that meant both tokens & coins. It also seems different part #'s compared to their KleenRite's SecureCoin...
