Vac Credit Card same as cash?

Adding Cryptopay to 4 of the vacs at the SS. Normal Pricing is $1.00 for 5:20. Thinking of Credit card to be $2 minimum and will give 10:40, and it will be count up with $5 max. I know lots of places charge more for vacs but in Chicagoland $1.00 is basically what SS gets including my...

    Hanna OS2 mitter curtain.

What else do you have cleaning tops of vehicles? IMO Mitters a lot less hassle but not as good at cleaning. With Triple mitters no top brush needed. I have one left and would not ever replace it or use one except under duress. PITA for racks and trucks and Taxis with Large Roof top ads.

    Credit Cards at Cheap Pricing

Easiest way to find out is put it in your 2 busiest bays. Use Count up. If you already have LED 7s and internet the all in cost is $1200.00 If you take in an average extra $4 day you are even in less than a year.

    Break Ins on Meter Plates

Agree that I would not put the Bill acceptors in the meter face plates. Nt secure enough. That is why I went with the separate Etowah Valley box. With the right tools it's only a question of time.

    VAc Island Canopy LED option

Have seen them at dusk- Not Dawn. Each has 2 rows of LED's. If I had to guestimate it seems each puts out the same as the 2 Bulb 8 foot HO flourescent fixture.

    Break Ins on Meter Plates

Since they are bending the box, it would seem the box needs to be strengthened / protected as well. Or , as stated a better Box. A Local guy reinforced / created Vault drop boxes by framing out around the box and filling with concrete with Vault below. He must have cut the wall partly for...

    VAc Island Canopy LED option

I started installing these. 2 per 8 foot of Canopy. 16 foot canopy still to be done. Seem to do a really nice job. I don't know how they would work in a extremely wet area like a Bay or wet are of a tunnel.

    Installing Credit Card Readers

I don't look at the fee breakdown. I just take all in fees divided by sales for my cost. Now, mine are combined with the EE Tunnel ($3.50 basic wash) and it seems to be holding steady.

How long should my hoses be?

I use this but with swivels both ends and bend restrict or on one end. Doesn't kink which stops the weep. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-11235-15-38-blue-single-wirebraid-hose-38-mpe.aspx

    Installing Credit Card Readers

Here is how to solve the problem. Similar to what I did / am doing at the wash. Don't add readers to all machines. Add to 9 Machines. Start with higher priced ones. Put signs that say "This machine takes credit cards" Only you know revenue per machine. If it works - great. Add more. If...

    Installing Credit Card Readers

Cryptopay system requires a "Coordinator" Swipers communicate wirelessly with coordinator which is connected to the internet. A coordinator is about $400 and each swiper is $400 . I don't know the max limit for Swipers that connect to a single coordinator.

    Installing Credit Card Readers

I have Crypto with First Data. It's about 5.5% all in but that includes tunnel wash charges as well. I do't know that it's terribly high compared to other locations. For instance my Gas and Tunnel runs about 3.5% but the dollar volume is much higher.

How much for your vacuums and time in bay?

Some of us have top notch operators as competitors. Some of us are also competing with "Free" when it comes to Vacuums.

How much for your vacuums and time in bay?

More Pressure. IIRC my sign says 1250 psi . It's more than that at the gauge. I think I chose that PSi because it is what the motor could handle by just putting on a bigger pulley. More tripped the contactor and it was slightly more than my nearest competitor advertises. As far as customers...

    Which air chuck to buy?

FWIW I a had a business in the 1980's with a buddy who I sold out to where we installed air machines on a revenue sharing basis. They originally came with the gauge inflators. Machine decal even said "Free Air Check" Being throw on the ground, in the snow and run over was too much for them and...

    Which air chuck to buy?

We use a 1/4" steel braid hose assembly from Kleen rite. This type of Chuck https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/39069000 "Open" means it does not hold pressure in Hose. That way compressor does not start under load.

    Coin Vs Credit card

Time will tell. My set up has 2 Vacs on an Island between each 2 bays. Closest to approach will have a sign and take CC. Upgrade is about $600 each.

    Credit Card "All In Fees"

Based on your numbers the net revenue covered the cost in less than 8 months. Of course this does not account for those who simply switched from cash. I would expect over time for any number of reasons the amount will grow. Doesn't seem terrible.
