    New Self service option

Tire inflator air in the bay. Mr. Hoffman added a compressed air boom for blowing out nooks and crannies. There is a post on the forum about it. I thing it's regulated to 60psi with a standard air trigger blower. Seperate boom with a seperate tire / wheel foam brush. (I think Mr. Hoffman...

Foam Gun with polish or Foam Brush w/detergent--Pick 1-to install 1st-

I would guess that there are few SS washes around from the modern era that do not ave the FB. There is a reason for this.

    Need help drilling through coinbox

My Etowah Bill acceptors are flush against the masonry surrounding the regular boxes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPBxcHLP3mg You don't need a big hole. 3/8" Should be plenty. I just ran them thru some poly tube to prevent chafing. If there is any exposed area you may want the liquitite.

5th Wheel rips off garage door header and spring

I guess in Chicagoland we are the only ones with POS insurance comapnies. Had a guy drive thru my Tunnel wall taking out my water meter in the tunnel. Took us 2 days to get up and running. Not easy getting replacements stuff from the City of Chicago. Gave them receipts for parts on other stuff...

    Who makes their own hoses??

I get the Bay standard sizes from KR. Provide diameter, length of hose and type of end, swivel or non swivel, pipe / JIC etc. and then you can compare to a KR pre made hose cost. Shipping impacts costs but typicaly I just add to a free shipping offer so it's not a factor for me.

    Who makes their own hoses??

For the hoses that run from the equipment room to the bays I have used the reuseable ends for repairs. 3 of my 4 locations have their own hydraulic crimper. One was there when I took over the place. The one without the crimper is less than 15 minutes from one with a crimper so I did not need...

Does This Sound Normal To Anyone ???? Feedback desperatly needed !

I get unsolicited inquiries all the time. I shoot a price at them and they ask for financials. I decline to provide them basicaly telling them it's proprietary. For all I know they want to compete with me. They either need to do their own due diligence based on what they should know about the...

    Who makes their own hoses??

I make my own ydraulic hoses for the tunnel because the lengths vary so much it's hard to have a spare. For Bay HP and FB I buy them pre made and keep spares on hand. There is little or no savings by buying the parts.

Does This Sound Normal To Anyone ???? Feedback desperatly needed !

The wash purchase contract and the lease should have cross contingencies. Each being contingent on closing the other deal. I would not under any circumstances give the landlord a huge chunk of $ up front. If he is foreclosed on or goes BK or both you could be SOL. If he wants to be assured...

    Anti Stringing software upgrade

Any experience with this? Just had some installed and they asked me what I wanted it set for. I chose 5 minutes which they said was a popular choice. Apparently it can be programmed for 1-15 minutes.

    Anti Stringing Software

Recently had a Hamilton XE Validator in for service. Was rejecting too many bills. So along with some neccessary part replacement they upgraded the software with some anti stringing software. They asked what it should be set for. Apparently it can be programmed from 1-15 minutes before it...

    New Self service option

I assume CPY = Cars per year, although most SS track cycles and not cars, what is the aveerage CPY for conveyors? Another issue with SS as we know people like to play "Beat the clock" They plan to spend $X and get the job done. So, adding more functions or different functions may not equate to...

    New Self service option

My guess, and it's just that feel free to disagree A. They are not that smart / Innovative. B. Takes one to do it and then they fall all over themselves like for Tunnel Tire shine or waterfall arches. C. The SS market unlike the conveyor market is harder to add a function to since if all...

    New Self service option

    >>>That menas the SS application is using 5% per minute of the tunnel application. I submit it's an even lower percentage because the tunnel applications are putting out way more than 3.2 gallons (420 oz) per minute.<< i guess readers will have to choose how they would calculate the cost of the...

    Replace Medeco T Handle Lock

Only removed one to see how it worked. I'll do the rest when the cores arrive. After 20 years the screw looks like new.

    Replace Medeco T Handle Lock

After a closer look, gunk cleaned and used magnifying glass I found they were two allen head screws that go thru each side of the "T" holding a cober on the T which holds and any drill circle with slot cut in it. The screws came out (Perhaps because I lube the locks and T Handles several times...

    Quick and easy "bug fix"

Silly question. Why not just make a hole in the screw on cap (Take it off to make the hole so small plastic pieces don't go in the solution) that comes with buckets just the right diameter so the hose goes thru it. Te ability to compress the hose slightly and the flexibility of the cap can...
