    Poll: Biden vs. Trump's era

Natural gas pipe lines are only in the major cities in the north east. Oil (diesel), propane and kerosene to a lesser extent are the primary fuels in New England.

    Poll: Biden vs. Trump's era

I believe the issues may have been installer or retrofit related. The systems are pretty bulletproof. And $35,000 is small money when you factor in costs of a traditional system and fuel prices over a ten year period. I believe the reason it hasn't caught on is upfront cost and its usually...

    Poll: Biden vs. Trump's era

MEP001 I don't believe you have all the facts about geothermal heating straight. I live in Vermont and there are several homes that use geothermal to heat and cool them. I learned a little about geothermal heating over twenty five years ago and there are primarily two types, open loop and...

    $5 start****

We have been at a start of $5 for 4 minutes since opening our wand bay a few years ago. Our only "competition" was/is charging $1 a minute but they are always having mechanical or chemical issues and don't take care of their customers. At first we had a few customers balk and tell me they...

    CryptoPay Chargebacks (Capital One)

About three years ago we raised our hold to the maximum charge per swipe to avoid the prepaid card issue. Cryptopay was new to us and it took us a few months to figure out why we were getting chargebacks.

Anyone using Merchant Advocates credit card processor audit services?

Basically, look over credit card processing statements to find billing errors and negotiate with them to lower/eliminate fees. In exchange they get a 50% cut of the dollars saved. For example if they find a $100 billing error they keep $50. After a free initial analysis of one months...

How did you pick the name for your wash?

This might be contentious, but how about "The Best Wash in Muncy"? ;)

Anyone using Merchant Advocates credit card processor audit services?

Hello fellow wash operators! We were recently contacted by Merchant Advocates regarding the monitoring of our credit card processors charges on our behalf. Hoping some one can help us in deciding if we should proceed in using their service. I'm guessing there are others that have used their...

Cat 310 low pressure and pulsating like crazy

I would perform your second step first as its less invasive, less costly and less time consuming than working on the pump first.

What to do, what to do....

I'm sure there are others on here more equipped to answer this question with a hard formula than I. There are so many variables that go into calculating whether a site is worth investing that kind of money. Site operations cost, water/sewer, cpd at the street and local wash pricing to name a...

Any Ahha moments from ICA in Nashville?

Sorry to hear of your troubles Carwashclubber. I have been very interested in the Dencar units. How many units do you have and how long have you owned them? Hearing from more owners would be most helpful, Maybe I should start another thread?

What to do, what to do....

I personally would shy away from older used equipment like the pdq 4000, due to it's age. That being said remember install does not include electric and plumbing changes. Is your wash busy enough for a $240K spend?

    Who is going to Nashville?

If you end up going to Nashville we should meet. I understand we have situations kind of in common, and your site isn't that far from where I'm located.

    Who is going to Nashville?

I don't know many in the car wash biz, but hope to meet many of you. I will be there on behalf of Burton Car Wash in Vermont. When originally planning the trip my focus was on pay stations and vacuums for our IBA site. But in a turn of events, it looks like I will be looking into tunnel...

    Land Rover

I wouldn't buy a jeep. If you want rugged and reliability I'd check out a Toyota 4runner or Land Cruiser depending on budget, or Lexus variants GX or LX. You'll be much happier I'm sure. I own both a Land Cruiser and a Lexus GX.

Pricing -am I out of touch?

We're at $5 start, $1.25 a minute. Not many complaints. But geographical location and competition are everything.
