Anyone using LPR license plate readers?

I agree with you that getting license plates is relatively useless, can’t do anything with it and I am in the state of Pennsylvania. I think there should be a workaround for this. If the car wash industry as a group or association would implement some type of signage/verbiage that states you are...

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

Who cuts power to service vac motors? Just don’t touch the wrong side of the relay. 🤷‍♂️

    Good Deal on SS Wash?

Does that 6.5 just the business or include the real estate? Seems cheap to me.

Question: How have self serve customers changed over the years?

I recently (going on three years) started a self serve car wash with one IBA. It was on a property that was a car wash but was very run down. Rebuilt in the same location and many neighbors told me about the issues I would have with local low lifes. They were correct. I installed a high quality...

    Magnaglide air lift problem

I found an easier way to recouple the outer and inner slides on these Magnaglide door cylinders, you don’t even have to remove the cylinder. Find which way the outer cylinder needs to go with the directions on airlift doors website, remove the bracket from the door and use a bar clamp to force...

    Air Cylinder/Top Brush Jumping

Thanks so much for the info! I have sent them a email and will let you know what I find. If we find a solution I will be sure to post it back here. Cheers!

    Air Cylinder/Top Brush Jumping

Thanks for your reply. It is indeed a Ryko Machine. Yes the Mac valves are controlled via the PLC that is monitoring the amp clamps as you stated and it is a three brush machine. The brush jumps even when it is not touching the vehicle. I have monitored the outputs of the PLC to the Mac valves...

    Air Cylinder/Top Brush Jumping

Hello. I have a soft touch car wash that has the top roller/brush connected via belts to an air cylinder. When the air cylinder retracts the brush goes up and when it extends the brush goes down gravity. Speed is controlled via flow valves and direction is controlled via Mac valves. The one side...

Rock Tumbler Or Ultrasonic Cleaner For Dirty Coins

Rock tumbler it is. I was at the coin star this AM and had counted approximately 1/3 of the coins. The amount I received on my gift card was about $25 less than my estimated value based on the ratio of the coins I counted. I had the opportunity of seeing one of those machines open with the...

Rock Tumbler Or Ultrasonic Cleaner For Dirty Coins

I see both opinions on other threads. Any before and after pictures of either method with dirty/corroded coins? My bank would take the coins but they need to be clean. These pennys are two far gone, just using for an illustration.

Cleaning Vacuum Coins from collections bins

Hello. Would you (or anyone else on this forum) be interested in a device to separate out the coins? I have been working at this in my spare time over the last several years and have finally developed a machine (fourth model after about 5 years) that does this reliably and efficiently. I would...

    Vacuum Fire on New Vacuum

Agreed. I have two used vacuums on the other side of the property that have been running like a top even though they are 10+ years old. New motors of course several times but no real issues.

    Vacuum Fire on New Vacuum

If you look at the time stamp it think he was running for 2:16 the second time he started the vacuum. Uploaded video is on 16x speed.

    Vacuum Fire on New Vacuum

It looks like he/she did start the vacuum the second time on the screen recording. I had forgotten this. Dust was not a factor. These vacuums were brand new. He was probably only the 10th customer to use the vacuum based on sales 🤷‍♂️ Vacuums were installed on 10th of June.

    Vacuum Fire on New Vacuum

Yes that would be incredibly fast. If you look closely at the video you can see the customer is no longer vacuuming. I started the video clip recording when I first saw smoke coming out. He had vacuumed his entire car before the video recording. As I recall I do believe the vacuum was running...

    Vacuum Fire on New Vacuum

It’s definitely smoke, no dust. They are brand new vacuums and the tops were all very clean. The motor started smoldering from the excessive heat of the broken cooling fan, eventually started burning and started the dome on fire and then it’s all over. You can see the smoke coming out even after...

    Vacuum Fire on New Vacuum

Great idea. Not a YouTube type. First video I uploaded This is on 16x speed to save your time. I should add that there was no sign of any fire in the dirt canister, the bags etc. Also no smell of anything flammable. Two vacuums burnt up in one month seems suspicious. I should also add that the...

    Vacuum Fire on New Vacuum

I should add that I tried to upload the surveillance footage but it is too large of a file. I downsized and shrink it to the point that it was not worth uploading.
