I have some that is 22 years old that is rusting and peeling pretty good. More rust and a lot of peeling in the auto bays. I am starting to think about what the best solution may be.
I see slight spots on my black vehicle above 20ppm. Therefore, I change my membranes when tds approaches 20 ppm. It is the final rinse; too important not to have right.
You may have a check valve bad; pushing some amount of chemical back into the tank. Pull suction tube out of tank, and run each bay individually and see if water/chemical is pushing thorugh that line.
Many threads on this if you search. I would 110% recommend the CT tokens only valued at $1. Change everything to tokens; bays, vacs, vending, even auto cashiers. You are not a public change service. Make the switch and don't look back. I have used the stock CTs for 12 years with Slugbuster II...
Customers indeed notice hot water. That is why all my competitors have low volumes, and I have very high volumes--they have all discontinued hot water . It is not that big of an expense, but it is big in keeping and growing sales.
Operators that keep cheaping out on a properly run self serve...
Here is the bigger issue--all these evs are not paying gas tax. Roads and bridges are literally falling apart in every state, but these owners get a free pass. I would guess we are 20-30 years behind in building needed roads, and now we are going to collect less road funds via gas taxes.

I am in lower, slower Delaware. We raised our prices 15% in March. So actual sales are up, but car counts are down a bit. Making same $$$, with less wear & tear.
