Yeah, Tri-Valley was going to be my first call if there wasn't a readily available 'standard' one from Kleen-rite or somewhere. And yes, Kramerwv, I've got a Futura Revolution and an Impulse in operation.
I'm looking for a place to get a couple of idler/drag wheels like the one below. It's for a Futura/Specialty Auto (who of course has been out of business for a while), and am hoping maybe these wheels are kinda of standard for some autos? The inside part of the wheel is the part I need .. it's...
Which timers you are asking about? I use the DX300's in the bays, and I send them in every 3-5 years to have the displays replaced because they get progressively dimmer. I have one go out every now and then due to a circuit board problem, but they always promptly fix and return. I've got a few...
I second the 'reusable' fittings .. that's pretty much all I use. I have reels of bulk hose (3/8, 1/2, and 3/4) from Kleen-rite, and can make up a new hose of any size within 10 minutes. The larger the hose, the harder it is to put the resuable end on though, but all 3 sizes are doable...
Anyone know where I can find some 8' 2-bulb lighting fixtures -- just the empty fixture, no ballast included. I'd rather find the single pin ends, but could work with the HO dual ends if needed. Everywhere I search I find them with ballasts installed .. I would like just the fixture if...
The meter in my water softener has gone out, and through searches here it looks like MEP and a few others have a good bit of experience with these. Anything I should wary of when replacing the meter? Of course, it's an old softener, model #'s are gone -- I assume it's a Fleck 9000 when...
I've been running Coleman combo's for 20+ years .. have been bulletproof (knock on wood). They use Sensortrons and I'm using the Dixmor displays...only 2 vac motors, though --
I realize Rowe was bought out, but any idea if American will still service Rowe parts? I've got a message in to American, but you guys usually answer faster than they do. I've got a PCC #65073501 that must have a short in the circuit board -- goes to error message 'bucket not open' when trying...
I'll leave the math to you .. I just know that I've still got one going on 19 years, and I've replaced 4 others in the past 5ish years that had all gone a minimum of 12 years, maximum of 17 years -- but we'll see how these new ones hold up. I know the procons I use for tire cleaner and foam...
I've always used just a booster pump:

Pushes the spot free at around 180-200 psi .. seems to last forever.
I probably should’ve clarified a little more also… These are the reducers that are on the drive wheels… So they hold up half the gantry. I also have smaller reducers on the oscillating arms, so they don’t have as much stress. Soapy, are even the drive ones aluminum on yours?
I had one of the speed reducers on my old Specialty 'DynaWash' go out today (it's been on there probably 10+years or more). I was able to clean up the name plate and what I could see was it was a Grove Gear HMQ218-1, 56c Frame, 40:1 ratio. Looks like a 5/8" input shaft, with a 1" thru output...
Yeah, I get that .. I was referring to if someone is going use a teepee or a domed enclosure like Soapy or Alpine, then spending anything extra for a trash can that can't be seen seems unnecessary to me -- which I think was the original question by Kolby. Using a long lasting free plastic...
Wow.. screams unprofessional, huh?! Well, I'll have to ask my customers who've kept me in business for 40+ years for forgiveness I guess. To each their own-- I personally like the barrel look, as long as they are kept clean, and they all match .. but that usually goes for any type of trash...
I just use either the 55 or 30 gallon drums that my soap comes in (depending on what size fits). Just cut the tops off, cut two spots out for handles .. works great, lasts a long time, and free! (Well, free besides what the soap costs!)
I agree completely .. one of my autos has the virtual treadle, and it's definitely preferable. That's why I've thought about trying to just use photosensors in place of a treadle to keep the ground clear and clean, and on one of the touchfree's this may work (I'm still researching) -- but my...
I've always run with the 2508 tips. At my main wash I have a 6 bay in the back with raised roofs that most of the truckers/mudders use -- I run 1100 psi in the first 3 bays, and 1250 psi in the last 3 bays with signs saying 'recommended for commercial use'. In the 4 bay in the front I have it...
On the Coleman vacs I have, you just push the hose in .. every now and then someone pulls one out, but I rarely have the problem. I do have a couple of older RoChemco vacs that are a little looser, but I just have to have a single wrap of duct tape around the end and the hose fits in tightly.
I agree with the advantages of the virtual plates, but sometimes it's not practical. I would assume with some type of programming my touchfree washes could be converted, but that's a bit above my talents! A while back (when Specialty was still in business, so a LONG while back) I checked into...
