I’ve been doing a lot of research on here and it looks like a lot of single IBA have failed or aren’t suggested as a viable build. I’m starting to second guess my idea. Additionally interest rates are 9.75% variable on SBA 7a. I would go into this leveraged with @17% down on a 1.5 million dollar...
@Roz I wonder if jacks was/is a challenging location? It appears to be off the beaten path near a highway and a gas station. There must be some lessons to learn here.
Could you expand on this a bit. I was thinking about building a single long bay petit. 65'x16 approx with adjoining mech room. Why do you feel single IBA fails? I seem then at gas stations a lot.
Thanks
What have been your experiences with having compressed air near the vacuums for customers to blow dirt out of little crevices and hard to reach areas? One though that comes to mind is the difficulty of long compressed air line runs such as freezing condensation in the air lines? Has anyone done...
Check this door out. I’m in the process of looking at things like this and this is way overkill but gets you thinking.

325$ a square foot for soft and hard costs all in would probably be max price for building. A new IBA with all the supporting stuff is anywhere between 250-500k. The building you are talking about is probably around 300-400k. These are the prices I'm seeing at least. Others will undoubtably...
I’ve had great luck with those Takagi on demands heating my home and running a floor hydronic system at my home. I basically have two, one for potable water and one for floor. Very affordable. Supply house dot com is where I purchased them.
Most likely a certificate to do business in the city is all that's needed. I would look into it for your location as others have mentioned. If we were to unpack this a little bit, if you are washing cars at a specific location it would need to be zoned for such use. Or if you are mobile, like a...
Hello
Thanks for your response. At this time I am not. I am considering a floor mat machine outside near the vacuums though. Have you had success with the tire shine machine ?
@SuperShine
Thanks for your feedback. That’s good stuff. This is only a preliminary site plan so I was putting this out for feedback which you are providing and I do appreciate. I’m wondering if a better setup would be to have one exit and entrance such as the picture I drew on and attached...
Architecturally I'll be mimicking the square box style of this amazing looking wash Adam put together. I'll go with a flat roof and no big windows, probably a few windows up higher to let light through.
Greetings everyone,
I am in the process of putting together a Petit long bay IBA car wash. My plan is as follows:
One 72' long bay building with 10' wide mechanical room. So the building will be @72' long x 27' wide. Petit 360i with Dencar pay station. 4 JE Adam's round vacs with arch LED booms...
Keep in mind they have two arms so they are doing twice the work on one pass if you will. Double pumps as well. That seems to be where the time savings is when compared to other similar IBA machines.
It's probably worth 2-3 gross and a new in bay auto costs about 200000 or more with all the supporting stuff. I would only base an offer on what you see on the tax returns. All this is my opinion of course.
I've used live plan to write my last biz plan for oil change business. It works great. You can basically just start gathering info and plug it in.
