Just wanted to follow up on this because we finally got it figured out.
Whomever was messing with the ultrasonic wiring last plugged in the y22 jumper wire in, when it should have been disconnected. It was making the system ignore the ultrasonic sensors' inputs.
For reference, that wire should...
The last time I looked was in geography class, so I could be wrong now.. something might have changed. But if i remember correctly, Texas is pretty far away from Pennsylvania
Yes we've more or less repalced everything
Let me expand on that.
We're replaced:
Ultrasonic controllers (Multiple)
JVT board (multiple)
Both Ultrasonics
Festoon cables
A variety of Relays
Prox's, eyes, and cables
Cleaned off the flags in the bridge (they were a little rusty)
The issue...
I’ve tried reaching out to my distributors and none of them are enthusiastic about working on this old machine. I plan on replacing it soon but I’m still trying to figure out how to fund it
I’m located in Western Pa and I am having an issue with the ultrasonic system on one of my machines.
If there is a tech out there, preferably local, who can come out here and help me troubleshoot, i would greatly appreciate it.
If you think you could help me over the phone, that’s fine too...
Because in my experience it’s way easier to get the car clean in the winter, combined with the fact that it’s the only time of year when the line gets really backed up.
The problem is that there are a lot of new car washes in town that can wash a car in 30 seconds. Its a completely different type of wash, but to some people it makes in-bays look like ancient tech. Why would a customer wait in line 45 minutes to get their car washed.
If you can clean the same...
It's still acting up and we've gone over most of the usual things. It's an intermittent problem. Im wondering if maybe were losing a phase of power because at this site we have had problems in the past with that
I don't understand why you're so worked up about this.. Why are you so angry about Petits?
As far as I can tell they're good machines. Oasis machines are probably good too..
I will say however there's a really nice site next to my house with a relatively new Oasis machine and they put out a...
I would consider a machine with over 200k washes on it a machine that has throughly been put through its paces.
I don't have a bad thing to say about any machines that I haven't used. I only have bad things to say about the ones I have used and don't like. Like the Laser G5.
Initially I was running Cul-Mac stuff. The chemical that we liked was Ultramaxx. We were running it as one step and it seemed to work.
Then recently it was no longer available. So we started running a chemical that they make called Aftershock. We were getting a lot of complaints with that. So we...
It's tough to know for sure. There are so many what-ifs in this industry. We only need the second bay at peak. The rest of the year one bay is enough. And obviously, it would be nice to have a second bay for when the first bay breaks down.
One thing that sucks for us is that we used to be able...
One other thing I should mention, there's no specific area in the bay where this index fault is happening. It could be anywhere in the bay and this fault happens
