    That is not a check valve, it is a pressure regulator or unloader, there looks to be a check valve under that, with the green hose attached to it, and another on the line that is after the red, yellow, clear LP lines < the chrome fitting.

    I don't know how you could take a good picture of the inside of the plunger, but this is the best I could do, obviously it is a factory default, I have never seen this before. Also, everything was clean and there was not debris on the plunger or the plunger retainer a month ago.

    When tourqued the ceramic plunger would move on the steel rod, the rod wasn't moving, just the ceramic plunger, after replacing the ceramic plunger, no movement.

    It only leaks when the pump is running. The slinger washer and split washer were put back on, I left them off for the picture. No threadlock on the bolt.

    Replacement for old DH Controller

    Been using goulds NPE/NPE-F316L SS, never had one go bad, not even a seal, They are the pumps that came with the D/H equipment in 1994. I have used ARO diaphragm pumps in another location, but damn, they are expensive.
