first figure out your cost per car by:
1. get the chemical cost per car from your chemical rep by asking for the volumetrics.
2. get your utility bill and look at how much electricity, water, and sewage came out to be and the date range.
3. pull some reports to see ow many vehicles you washed...
20k is not enough, my friend. my recommendation is to start working at a car wash and spend couple years to save up more capital and also to learn how to fix everything at that facility. learn to do this on their dime, not yours. learn the business operations and admin aspect as well.
also get...
for any org that wants a fleet program, we just refer them to our family plan, additional vehicles under one account get 50% off.
for fundraisers, we use OPTspot text club service, and they've set us up where orgs are referred to a website via qr code where they can purchase our wash, and 50%...
i remember our first site we had 2 coleman hanna mitters that was in operation for 17 years.
towards the end of its life cycle the basket the motor sits in had corroded beyond repair for both the mitters. great things about mitters is it works even when broken.
having said that, we updated the...
i would actually think it is more beneficial to have the rainbar up high for the final rinse. the water would hit the vehicle slightly harder. not sure if it would pick up any noticeable amount of tds for traveling 2 1/2 feet of space.
all in all i think it is a very negligible change.
dont be afraid to go to court. i went to my first one in 7 years for side mirror we did not damage for $700 and won.
worst thing that could have happened was if i lost and had to pay for it.
long time ago when our org only had 1 starter car wash, our tunnel controller got fried out of the blue. it was dire times and we were financially strapped and devastated.
i reached out to ascentium capital for a business equipment loan and got a replacement tunnel controller and new...
fascinating thread, looking forward to martin's updates.
japanese and korean cars faced similar hate and disdain when introduced to the market. its always good to have competition, maybe it'll drive the price of components down. god knows its too high right now.
my concern is what if im a small business owner who aren't in communities like this? i would have never known, and then im liable to get fine for something that wasn't even rolled out in a manner that is deserving of such attention. way to help the small businesses, the backbone of american...
we currently use jolt for scheduling and checklist/reports, but honestly cannot justify the cost of using jolt.
i am currently working on jotforms for checklist/reports which will automatically send updates to our group chat app (slack) upon submission and also auto-update spreadsheets.

as far as cash vs cashless goes, couple things to think about:
1. are you going to be on site most of the time or do you plan to build and check on it once a day/week? if you're going to be on site most of the time you'll be able to resolve any bill jam issues right away so i would go cash in...
that is actually insane and kind of infuriating. i wonder what math they cooked up to justify that. what's their single wash pricing for that package?
i agree with car wash guy, if you have a good tunnel company coming in the neighbor i would also leverage touchless wash and target the niche...
hi all, something i've always wondered is the difference between 10HP vs 15HP from same manufacturers. for those with experience, can you detect the difference via eye test? i understand 15hp will put out more CFM, but was wondering if it's worth the price difference.
