You pretty much summed up the same story they gave me, I have one access that works and one that doesnt. The only advice I have is dont ever ever buy another access ever.

If you take one apart, most time it is a bad valve. There are 4 per pump but you have to be careful to remove and replace them in the same postion that they came out , they are very confusing to work on. If it is a leaky shuttle valve that is leaking air I would'nt know how to fix it. I do not...

You can indeed get water in the crankcase , the Cat pump people call in "wicking" when the sleeve is going back and forth in the oil seal if any water gets on this sleeve it can wick into the crankcase this is very common on cat piston pumps. Brian
