2 Tub Petwash size?

What footprint would be ideal for a 2-tub pet wash?

I saw and went inside a 12'x16' shed last night that seemed like it would be a good size.

Just dreaming, but laying some mental groundwork now.

I used an entire bay (15'6" x 24') and once I get the second tub in there, it will leave plenty of room for people to maneuver. Our pet wash has become a family event of sorts with the entire family showing up and taking pictures and such. I am glad for the extra space for sure!

Waxman,

Something to consider is the clean up, heating & cooling factor of a larger area. So far even though my area is about 150 sq ft for 2 stalls there has always been enough room in my opinion for several people (a whole family) & multiple dogs at once. Ceiling height, sliding doors, clear multwall polycarbonate all seem to work for us ---- space wise.

I do have my website going now at kingkoin.com (barely & in a fragile way!) ---- if someone wants to glance at it. I would hate to have my friends' on Bill's forum falsely accuse me of keeping the Dog Wash "gem" too much of a secret! Especially, if hopefully my friend JJJ checks out the website ---- it would be an honor!

Bubbles- regarding my post where I posted a web site with a truck bed utilized for a wash tub....I read your post in a hurry thinking you were looking for a larger tub I didn't know you were looking to add another structure for more tubs. Your dog wash must be going well?

Wax,

I chopped an existing SS bay in half. Back half add'l pump room, front half pet wash. Size is 16" x 14 with 2 National Pride tubs. I didnt have room for a knee wall or petition between the two tubs and at first thought it would be an issue. 6 months later its working fine, no problems with cramped quarters and on weekends both tubs are being utilized at the same time.

I think if I ever do it again though, I will put in 1 SS tub on legs, and build one wash area floor height out of ceramic tiles. Many people comment about the "big" dogs having trouble walking the ramps into the tubs, and especially the older ones with bad hips. I figure a tiled up tub that they could walk the dog into with no steps would be a better option.

Just my thoughts.....
