Hose

I currently get bulk 3/8" HP hose from Kleenrite (https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-2736-blue-high-pressure-hose-38.aspx) .. it seems to me that it doesn't seem to be lasting as long as it used to - I know it used to be Goodyear, and now it's Continental. It just seems to be blowing out more often. Where does everyone else get their hose from?
Continental is Goodyear. they bought them out about a year or so ago.

Look in your local area for a hose shop. Motion, Applied, BDI, even Napa sells hose and SOMETIMES its cheaper.

I haven't had or heard of any problems with the Continental Neptune hose. I make hoses for people and use about 1000 feet a month.

I use Continental Neptune hose and replace a hose per bay every year.Even with a whip hose and a hose bend restrictor ,wire breaks inside hose usually a single strand that pushes up as a bump in hose. I mark it up to wear & tear and replace it.

I have priced bulk plus fittings for the Bay hose. Not much different than buying pre made from KR. Of course if you are running from the ER to the Bay that either means a lot of careful measuring or DIY.

Appreciate the replies .. looks like this is the hose that the majority uses, and no one else seems to be having any problems with them, so it's probably just me. I'm getting a lot more big truck traffic at my main wash, and they're quite a bit rougher on the hoses, so that may be most of the problem..

It only takes one nick through the outer cover to expose the metal wire for it to start to rust and bubble.

You might try a wrapped pressure wash hose - it's more cut and abrasion resistant.

I use the blue continental hose from KR. In the last 3 months I've had 3 small blow outs in middle of 3 diff. hoses. The rest of the hoses had little wear. Usually the 4 inches around the swivel wear out first. I was hoping I just had a bad batch or I will have to try something else.
