Probably not. Both systems turn out a clean car. Your technical explanation, to me, just drives home the inefficiency of having the two extra brushes.

Just went through a Mark 7 Soft Wash 3 brush system at 6 mins 44 secs for top wash with freestanding dryer I was not impressed! my CPH would drop dramatically and I drive a Chevy Cruise how long would it have been with a extended cab pickup or a van?.

3-brush versus 5-brush was posed and I used math instead of subjective or anecdotal information to demonstrate there is a difference, in effectiveness.
Is 3-brush more efficient than 5-brush? Generally speaking, yes because 5-brush cost more (more equipment) and uses more resources (energy and materials) to achieve higher level of effectiveness.

That’s the real rub. Who wants to wait in line to pay and then wait another seven minutes for automatic carwash?
Broadway’s old 5-brush rollover has washed millions of cars at dealerships at three minutes a wash or about 20 cars an hour. Cycles include soap, scrub, wax (drying agent), rinse and free standing dryer.
This could as easily be soap (plus tri-foam), scrub, wax (premium), rinse and dryer.
So, why does it have to take nearly seven minutes?
Perhaps it’s one of Soft Wash 3 brush selling points – touches the vehicle 70 percent less than 5-brush system. LOL
