32 degree nozzles

Kleen-Rite catalog calls the 32 degree nozzle "The Perfect Car Wash Nozzle". Would like to hear comments from operators that have used this nozzle. Agree or disagree?

I don't think so, 32 degrees is to wide. We use a 1505 nozzle, it gives the custoer the impression that they are getting more pressure than they really are.

I bought one to try. I typically use a 2506. Washing down bays with the 32 degree nozzle took longer and was very frustrating.
My mentor once told me that a 15 degree is ideal for cleaning and a 30, or maybe it was 35, was ideal for rinsing. They split the difference at 25 degrees.

The nozzle they call "perfect" is a Spraying Systems MEG tip. I don't recommend anyone use them for bays. They are meant for descaling and can cut concrete. FWIW I use General Pump 2506 tips which have the same spray pattern as Spraying Systems V-spray tips, but they have a hardened insert and last a lot longer.

I have 3 locations and use a 32 degree tip in all ss bays. Customers seem to love it and so do I. I run between 12-1400 psi, one wash is rural, two are suburban.

I recommend 3206 to all my clients.
I’ve never been a fan of 15-25° tips…too narrow of a pattern, imho.

Talk about impressing customers… Before drought conditions required “Water Department Certification”, I operated at 1,200psi at the guns with 07 tips for many years. Customers would comment about the “great pressure”. I found the general public get confused with discussions about volume and pressure so, I’d just smile and say “thanks”.

I like them above all others, right mix of spread and pressure.Guess I got better grade of concrete, 23 years on heated floors and 3206 nozzles have not cut thru.

It won't cut concrete by rinsing the floor, in fact it won't ever harm it because they lose most of the impact more than 6" from the tip. But if you hold it 1" from a spot it will damage it eventually. A MEG tip is also more likely to get under a chip in the paint and lift it off.
