I was out of town last week and had a customer complain about a SS wash she had received. THe thing is she did not send it to me but instead addressed it to my bank with my name on it. THe bank forwarded it to me but the letter was already open probably by accident. The complaint is totally ficticious based on the video I have for proof. It seems like slander to me since she sent it to a third party. Have you ever heard of such a thing? The customer lives almost 300 miles away.

How would she get the name of your bank?

If a court could possibly construe it as a statement of opinion then it would generaly not be considered slander / libel. So, it depends what was stated.

Does it scare you a little that they knew which bank you use!!
How is that possible?? My bank would laugh as they have told me stories about irate customers with overdraft charges.
Remember now-- Jetblue sets the tone-- How to deal with customers.
I think being it is SS -Save the letter, but probably not respond.

I wonder how she found out what bank you bank at. Kind of scary if you ask me! I once had a customer who lost $5 in the changer go to the Police department and try to file arrest charges against me for theft. They laughed at her, she went to city hall and they did called me and ask me to call this lady. When I called her she was P.O’d because no one would take her serious. Said she was never coming back again etc. etc., come to find out she was getting change for the Tavern down the street. I kept her $5.

I'm not a long-term carwash vet like alot of those here, but I would quickly file this in the 'don't know don't care' folder of my filing cabinet.

Seriously, if the person is going to take the time and trouble to find your bank (???) and complain to them then they are crazy and not worth any consideration. But how in the world did they manage to determine where you bank?

That's the only part that would give me pause.

And who complains about a SS wash? Seems they should stare in the mirror and complain instead.

What part of SELF serve doesn't she understand? One time I had a guy complain about the quality of his SS wash. I asked him what part of self service he didn't understand. I was at the wash and had noticed that all he did was rinse the truck off, back out, and complain that the wash was a "rip off and I'm not coming back here". I just said "thank you" and let him drive off. Some people just have to complain about something.

I had one great big black guy tell me: You're ripping people off, you should give 5 minutes for a quarter.

Uh-huh, and a Coke should still be a nickel.

After more research today I found out that she sells prepaid legal services. I am sure she had some free legal time to use up. It is pretty easy to find a public record such as a UCC1 filing for equipment leans etc. on leases. We kept here voice message to us where she is also talking to someone with her explaining that she had been camping over the weekend and got extremly muddy and had spent most of her time cleaning the wheel wells etc and ran out of time to rinse the soap off of her paint and windows. When the soap dried on her car she felt like she shoould get a full refund from us eventhough we called her back and offered to wash the car ourselves for nothing if she would just bring it back.
