I've searched the forum and have learned a great deal to get me started.

My dilemma is occasionally customers get my IBA's all jacked up. Usually I need to restart the machine and sometimes even the teller as it still thinks the previously paid for wash is still happening. Of course it mostly happens at the most inconvenient of times! I also want to have more control of the wash remotely.

I know about ControlByWeb and the WebRelays, and from what I've read and assume - That's what I think I need. I'll probably get the 4 Relay model so I can restart each IBA and it's subsequent Wash Select II teller.

My issue is I don't have the slightest clue as to how to go about wiring the relays. Where exactly would I wire the relay to reboot the machines?

Thanks for any help!

SW Indiana melon fields.
Years ago, I had trouble with my Mark VII auto going down any time I was away. All it took was pressing the reset button on the gantry and all was well until it happened again. I had a small PLC installed that whenever a wash was loaded and not used within 15 minutes, it would toggle RESET, wait three seconds, and toggle RESET again. The second reset was to clear a stacked wash if there was one. It worked quite well and kept us going until someone finally figured out why it was going down to begin with.

I suppose you could kill the power going to the autoteller and do a hard reset if nothing else.

Idec's new smart relay is networkable! I just got 4 in that are headed to make new door controllers where the OEM's failed. Their website claims that they have an Android and Iphone app too so that you don't have to have the dedicated software to use the remote capability functions! Wiring web relays or outputs on PLCs are no different than regular relays. Learn that, and your good to go.

Just a quick update:

Here's what I'' be ordering to be able to reset my IBA's, tellers, and close the door ( usually stays open if the machine gets jacked up).

4 or 8 port switch.
(2) ControlByWeb WebRelay Quads
Various Solid state relays to switch power.

On a separate project, I'm going to purchase one of their temperature module, which includes relays of it's own, and with a temperature probe which I will set in my SS slabs, I will have full control over the floor heat system.

ezesys.com will do all that and more. If you call them they will talk you through what it will do and then talk you through setting it up.

We run a majority of our carwash using control by web products. Temps, chemical & tank levels, pressures, door positions. If I may suggest getting the x-600 for your monitoring needs. With the x600 it is expandable which makes it handy cause you will be always adding more and more stuff to monitor.

Thank you sir. I'm thinking I'm going to go with the 600 with a few of the X11 High Current dual relay's. Looking to also control my floor heat circ. pumps and they all seem to be on 20A breakers. Originally I was going to use Solid State Relays to control the units, but it seems like the X600 series has the ability to do so without additional relays

I ordered the stuff I need - just been busy with my other properties. Hopefully before I leave for Europe.
