ACW-4 Mars Retrofit

Is there a unit out there that can accomplish this? For the sake of redundancy, I have Mars everywhere else and would rather have the same units at my facility.

Etowah has been selling a kit for years. I swapped mine out 10 years ago. Where've you been?

IIRC, it was 4 something, but it was decade ago when I converted them.

Thanks...I take it the retrofit is fairly easy? I would love to get the acceptance rates of the Mars in my ACW's...

The ACW 4 kit used to be a bit of a pain, mainly that you had to take the controller off and lay it on a shelf that came with the kit, remove the display and reattach it to the door, all to allow the validator to fit. IIRC, it also required some holes drilled in the door. Hopefully they've improved on the kit and made it easier.

I installed one not to long ago. Still the same kit, relocated to controller to the left side of the cabinet on a shelf, lengthen the wiring harness so it will reach the controller, relocated the display off the controller and drilled two holes in the door to mount the validator, price has gone up to $579 I believe. You’ll lose your Token note acceptance with the Mars validator.

If you position the controller with the top plug facing the door and the side plugs facing the hopper the wires are long enough. Depending on whether you have the original style switches or the new style, you may need to make some extensions reach them. I've installed 5 kits this way and have never cut a wire.
