Is it a good idea to add a second IBA? I have 3 ss bays and 1 friction IBA. I am considering converting 1 ss bay to another IBA. I seem to always have 1 ss bay open. However my IBA doesn't queue vehicles very often either but i think its related to the customers opinion of IBA unit and not the market. I am looking to generate new income.

Not sure I'd get a 2nd IBA, if the 1st one isn't busy...
If your IBA isn't liked, figure out why & fix that issue. Or replace just that one.

A lot of people have added a second IBA when they have a touchless with a frequent line behind it, or when they have a touchless and nearby competing friction that isn't run well, in which case they add a friction unit. IMO you'd be better off improving and promoting your self serve.
