Iam a 4yr. owner/opperator of a 11yr. old wash in the panhandle of Nebraska. Iam in the market to upgrade the 3 SS and 1 touchless auto to a credit card system. I currently use a Hamilton ACW-4 to operate the PDQ Laserwash 4000. I have no equipment to accept credit cards. I know that I need to invest in this equipment now! Iam happy with the Hamilton autochanger. The new HTK has caught my eye, along with Exact One Companies (MAXX Teller). Iam seeking any advice and information from the operating experts of this forum to help guide me through this major investment.
Thank you.

Upgrade your acw-4 to take credit cards. The kit is around $1,500, I think.

I converted my ACW4 with the credit card kit and didn't like the reliability of the reader. The small computer was OK but I had constant problems with the card reader that mounted on the outside of the unit. It is the one with the small deer head or Elk head on it. It was replaced twice. I also don't like the display that the ACW4 has on it. The sun washes it out easily. The ACW4 is a dinosaur.

galen, i agree. i think that the retro for the acw looks chezzzzzy. i know this upgrade will cost me, but i think a new look is needed. The acw has served its time. I just want to purchase the most reliable equipment.

I do not recommend Exact one system..I have them, they often cause trouble and their technology seem outdated..their service is NOT great either..

Hi-Tech, If you want to, pm me. I'll tell you my journey and what I ended up with. I was able to do side by side comparisons. I don't really want to be a front man for any one machine.
