I have been running my inherited (extremely lucky and fortunate to have) 3 Bay SS, which i also own the land it sits on. I just put in brand new Cat Pumps and am working on getting the low pressure (Pre-soak, Tire/wheel cleaner, Triple or single foam) up and running. should I go out to other SS carwashes (outside of a 10 mile radius) and see how they run things on the back end? would they even be willing to let me see their systems and help me? i saw a post about going to work at another wash for free and get things figured out. should I do that? is there a class or course i can look into about low pressure and other carwash systems?

I have a decent understanding on how the pumps work but am a little overwhelmed about how the low pressure system/electrical all works (looking into a hydrominder & flo jet system). I've already gotten a lot of help about where to buy my already built low pressure system but I want to understand it and be able to work on it myself as well as add upgrades to make things run smoother and longer without issues.

Thanks again in advance.

The low voltage side is hard to understand, but it's actually fairly simple. First thing to know is that most systems don't have a true hot and common like household 120V, there's usually two legs of 12VAC that together read 24V. One side we call hot because it comes from the transformer to the timer and also powers peripherals, the other side we call common because everything hooks to it, in most cases every bay even gets interconnected to the same common. So hot from transformer, switched through timer, one line in to rotary switch, multiple outputs switching motor contactor and solenoids. A multiplexer that controls air to a Flojet or a motor such as the spot free delivery takes the switched hot from each bay meant for spot free and enables one output for that motor.
