Just finishing the remodel and addition on two of my auto bays. I am switching to air operated doors. My question is this....they suggest using copper for my air lines and then switch to 3/8 poly tube just before the operator...why can't I use high pressure air hose instead? It will have all the appropriate dryers, oilers, and regulators. It will not see any UV exposure and will be inside my bay that is now heated and insulated.

Somebody set me straight!!!!

Thanks

My doors all have poly lines from compressor to door with no troubles at all. One set of doors is 3 bays away from the compressor. Also poly to my second equipment room which is 4 bays away from compressor.
