I found a deal on an air machine for my wash. Here are a few questions:

1. do you have one?

2. does it get used?

3. what do you charge?

4. are you pleased with the revenue / performance of the unit?

thanks.

We have simply attached a coin box with a solenoid and timer to a spot that lets you run a line from your real air compressor to the box. Fills up tires MUCH faster than any of the little air compressors, and it's cheaper.

Did you find a used unit or new? I have been looking for one. I have one that I don't own. Gets used often enough, but not nearly like a vac. $1 to use.

I shutdown an outside bay and converted the coin box to vending air. It is basically the same set up Mac described. Vending price is $1 and it brings in about the same as a vac for me. Definitely worthwhile.

Yes, have them at locations and they get used. $1.00 - 4 minutes Don't expect same useage as a vac. Lots of factors affect useage like if Neighborhood bike traffic can access easily. Think about it this way. If machine averages $2.00 day. In 3 years that's over $2000. Maintenance is nominal so you have about a 33% ROI if you spend $2000 for a machine.

I ran a line from my main compressor to a vac that is against the building. Uses the same timer, coin and bill acceptor as the vac. $1 for 4 minutes. Toggle switch allows customer to go between air and vac. Gets lots of use. Just be sure and clearly label unit that air is offered. I've considered signage on the vac, "Free Air"' with vac service .
