Unbeknownst to my wife, here's what I had done while she was out of town.

It takes a strong relationship for a guy to be confident enough to saw a hole in the side of the house and not be thrown out that hole, with half his belongings to follow :)

And that doens't make you wonder what she is doing while she is out of town???? Oh well, they say ignorance is bliss...;)
Enjoy your new hole in the wall, and congrats on a happy marriage! - A tough task when your already married to a car wash!

It turns out she's been with a couple of guys all week . I'm ok with it though, since it was our grandson and her dad. She will be back home today to see her new bathtub...and no hole in the side of the house!

I'm a little disappointed in you, Pat. I would have cut a hole in the roof and dropped the unit in by crane.

Looking to the future ... i looks like it won't be impossible to add a handicapped assist grab bar or two ... just in case!

Thanks, that's what I was going for :)

Actually, there was a window there before the job started. I had to remove everything from the bathroom the night before the contractors arrived. Instead of dragging it trough the house, the "guy" in me determined it was much easier to throw it out the window. If I could have backed up farther, you would see the old shower curtain, rod, caddy, trash can, and whatever else wasn't going to be saved.

Ahh, good call. I usually sprint through the house with the plunger on "rotisserie", trying to make it to the garage before the first drop.
