I thought i would check to see if anyone knows here before i complain but i did not get an answer from the garage. I had a rad problem in June and took it to a chain of auto repair places here in Canada. I got it fixed and they flushed the system and refiled it. I took the car in today to get the heater checked it needs a part but the guy told me that i need a coolant flush and thermostat replacement its really rusty and needs to be changed. I told him over the phone i just had it done a couple months ago and he said well its bad. I just didn't sound right so i told him to hold off on the repair. I went to pick up the car and asked him again about it and he said you had it done here i said yes and he look it up it was 3000 km ago so i asked him how it could be bad so he calls the mechanic. He comes over and says its really rusty and needs changing i said i had it done he said some cars need it more then others or maybe they didn't flush it right. I said it was done here 3000 km ago and he said well some need it done more often and maybe your rad is really rusty. It just didn't sit right i think its recommended every 50000 km and its a 2003 car with 110000 km on it. Could it be possible that this could happen or is it likely that they did not flush it out the last time i don't know much about this but i want to check before complaining. If any one knows how this could be and could let me know it would be appreciated. Thanks Greig
