Anyone ever made their own coin vaults?

If you were to make your own with top quality SS I doubt it would be much cheaper than these.

Just a lock cylinder and key are $25.00 without the T handle part. AFAIAC the drawer type is much easier than round vaults, even with sleeves.
Are you going to use then for Bays, VAcs, or vendors?

I wouldn’t try to make my own coin box. We’ve been using these forever, they work well. http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-2373-14-round-safe.aspx We use one Safe/Vault for 2 bays

Right, if the Coin Meters are back to back you use one vault for 2 bays,
The round safe and head are about $530.00 I have 4 for my eight bays. I much prefer the drawer type which I have in the Coleman islands. Much easier to pull and dump even though I have sleeves in the round ones. The square one from KR are $476.00 But I use an added layer of protection for both. I have a collar on the safe heads for the round ones with a hockey puck lock, and the high security cover with the hockey puck lock for the Colemans. If you are building new, and in a freezing climate I would try to run a line from the coin box heater terminals to the vault with another heat strip. . Being out in cold weather with a torch in each hand is not fun.
