There is a lot to check out before you buy a Demand Heater and how you are going to apply it. You have to read the fine print!
My Takagi made it through another winter heating the floors. It cycles on/off every 15 minutes below 32°....I saved enough $$$ in about 2 months compared to the Fire Breathing Dragon Jarco that was in there to pay for the change over. Heating water for the wash, I still stand by my HTP hybrid....It had to up its game this winter....Which it did...I had a day that I used 4500 gallons in a single day. Up 1000 gallons from last winters best day...I never ran out of hot water. Last month my NG bill was $149...That includes heating the floor, bay water, and the ER...$110 of that is fee's and taxes! The HTP has 1" water ports, so there is no way it will restrict flow. Plus it has a built in 55 gallons of reserve. I'll never run out of hot water! They have 55 gallon, 80 gallon, and 119 gallon models available...
So all to consider when trying to decide which way to go...My Takagi heats the floor without issue and is very cheap to operate. I would use one for this application again without thinking about it...Just don't know if I'd like one for the bays. But I do understand when you have real estate issues in the ER! I had room for the 55 gallon tank! Just my 2 cents....
