Auto Blowdown Time

Quick question if any one has a response this would be great. On my Compressor Auto blow valve.. What time and variance is recommended for an 80 Gallon tank?

You can set it to its shortest blow-down time and the longest interval, and even cut back on the amount of air with a valve so it doesn't make a lot of noise, and it should still easily keep the tank empty. They're usually a minimum of 2 seconds on, maximum 45 minutes off.

A good idea is to also keep a manual blow out valve in place just in case you really need to let things go. It also serves a a good back up. I also like drop lines for water collection.

Can anybody recommend a brand that works? The last 1 I put on only lasted a couple of months.

Ingersoll-Rand has a kit - whatever brand they use is pretty good.

I just put a ball valve in a convenient spot and drain it every day.
