Automatic Pay Terminals - How does the customer ask for help from your staff?

For wash operators who are using automatic pay terminals, how are customers able to notify your staff if they have questions or are unsure on how to use the pay terminals? We have tried installing door bell chimes on our auto terminals but they are so cheap that they break within 2-3 months. Has anyone installed something that they could recommend that allows customers to notify staff in another area that they require assistance?

Good question.
I was thinking about a toggle switch with a rubber sleeve over it. Like you see on pool pump switches. Mine last about 2-3 years before they need to be changed.
The customer switches up to turn on a bell chime and/or flashing light for your attendants.
When they go out to check on the customer they can switch it off.
Just a thought

JMMUSTANG, that's a GREAT idea! The amount of useful knowledge I get from this forum from other GREAT operators is just priceless. Thanks again for taking the time out of your day to respond and give me this idea!

We tried another chime system and its range and durability was terrible. We switched to these units which plug directly into 110v, we bought two sets and you can set both buttons to ring both chimes. We put one chime in the office and one outside. They let you control volume and chime ring. Been working great for the past 10 months outside! We placed a button to the side of each kiosk screen with a Ptouch label that says RING ATTENDANT
