backup withholding - TSYS

So I discovered in January that my credit card merchant was withholding 24% of my transactions for the IRS due to a mismatch that I was not made aware of until I called. The withholding started January 13th and have amassed over $19k in funds that I am fighting to get back. Has anyone ever had this issue and how did you get the problem resolved? I have already gotten the withholding stopped with a 147c form but getting the funds back is where I am stuck.

I would have your accountant look into it. It is held for income tax purposes I assume so they might have a way to get it back.
