the guy that owns the laundromat by me tried that once or twice but i had a nice little "talk" with him and havent seen him since.

If you have not done so it is time to put in credit cards and bill acceptors.
I agree with CC acceptance, not so much with bill acceptors. I feel they're too much of a target, and customers don't trust them. Sometimes all they have is a $10 or $20 and they don't want to spend it all to wash. For a lot of my customers, even $5 at once is too much because they want to let the time run out halfway through and do some hand washing. I have seen a wash with a bill breaker/token dispenser combo and he also has bill acceptors in the bay - he's had half his wash out of service for a month twice because of break-ins at the bays, but he still likes the arrangement.
