Bay buzzers

My in bay timer buzzers keep burning up. I was using the cheap $10 ones from Kleenrite. I tried one from Amazon with higher voltage but with the same result. They only last about a month . Does anybody else have this problem ? Thanks

What kind of timer are you using? Have you measured the voltage going to the horn when it's activated? This is the horn we have used forever. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-7579-horn-for-dixmor-timer-12-24-vdc.aspx

I’m using a Dixmor Led-7. I checked the volts again today and they are pulsing anywhere from 16-24 volts.

That's a bad timer. It's supposed to output 12V DC.

I powered up a Dixmor LED-7 on my test bench and I have 27.2 volts AC coming out of my test gear going to the timer. When the horn went off, I had it set to constant horn I had 11.8 volts DC going to the horn. I’d have to say that you have a bad voltage regulator on the horn circuit. It is repairable, send it to Dixmor, with a note as to what’s wrong with the timer along with your return address.
