I am considering putting bay doors on BOTH sides of my self serv bays.
I would like them to be clear and manually operated.
The purpose of the doors:
-reduce heat loss in winter time
-retain enough heat to allow for detailing in bays
The doors will be lockable (to close wash when its really cold). If they are not then I am concerned that people will hang out inside. My wash is next to my oil change business so getting them closed and open is not an issue.
The doors need to be plexiglass to reduce vandalism in summer when they are up.
The doors need to be clear to let light in for detailing.
I have one estimate for bay doors like my doors at the oil change facility (and every other quick lube I have seen) for 14k. Since income taxes take approx 5k anyway they will cost me about 9k of 1.5k per door.
Any other ideas on how I should approach this or less expensive options?
Thanks
