It's official BC will be moving to and HST tax in May/June of 2010....

That adds 7% to the cost of all of the products we sell...

HST started yesterday

The HST came into effect yesterday... despite popular predictions the world didn't stop, people didn't stop buying stuff and some are even saying they don't mind the tax :)

easywash & bigleo,

Is the HST on all services or just your retail items like vend items etc.? As far as "life goes on" it could go on even better without the extra tax ----- especially from a "common good" perspective!

It's early...but all seems ok. I put up a sign next to the Unitec indicating what prices went up along with the HST portion. However I do find it to be bad timing on the government part.

MJ,

It's different in BC and Ontario, but yes on almost everything now including gas, utility bills, hair cuts, etc...
