Was robbed the other night. The guy ripped my rowe changer out of my equipment room wall. I was looking to see what everyone's reviews are on changers. I'm looking for the best manufacturer and model. Been fairly happy with the rowes but I have to buy a kit to convert them to Mars validator. I didnt have much luck with the american changer machine. Wish unitec still made one but they are discontinued. I really like there Wash select II.

I’d go with a Hamilton with a Mars bill validator. Hurry, they are going up at the first of the year. If you want another Rowe I’ve got a line on one up in North Carolina.

I've had Standard, Rowe, and Hamilton. If I were to purchase another it would be a Rowe with Rowe's conversion to a Mars validator.

With the Mars validator in all three brands, the week component is the hoppers. I have had more hopper problems with me Hamiltons and Standard. I do have an occasional problem with the Rowe hoppers, but they are usually easily remedied.

My vote is for the Rowe. Twenty years on one and hardly any problems.

My biggest complaint with Rowe and Hamilton has always been the transport or the validator respectively. Replacing that with a Mars not only reduces downtime, it appears to completely eliminate stringing.

I prefer Hamilton for its simplicity, but I wouldn't object to a Rowe.

Had a bad customer service experience with American in years past. Although I have them at one wash I bought, they will not get any more of my money for a new product.

You can't give away Rowes around here. Well, technically you can give them away, but operators have pulled all of them out over the past ten years and replaced them. In the 90s they were the changer of choice around here. Only a few remain in service. They were replaced before the Mars conversion was available.

My first choice- Hamilton with Mars validator

My second choiceor for those budget minded-Standard EC with mars validator.

I wish i didn't have 5 rowes --had to update with mars. Hoppers are always getting dirty and causing hopper empty. Even with the mars sometimes a bill that is rejected will fault the computer, and the mars will be fine.
Whatever you get the mars is an amazingly good validator.

I like the ease of serviceability of the Hamiltons.

Waterway,

We like our 2 600EF Standards --- their heavier duty version. We have them inside in the more dry environment of the launderette portion of our facility ----which could be a factor though. Remote access to them via a remote computer is nice & the fact that they shared their code enough to facilitate the remote access was also of value.

I hated my Rowe until I switched to the Mars validator. I'm pretty satisfied with it now. I lost the "dump" feature in the conversion but that's no big deal. I wouldn't have another Rowe bill rejector but if you can get one with a Mars it should be fine.
