Best scent / show in HP waxes

Waxman

i was using kr teflon sealant in my self wash bays and liked it ok.

recently i tried simoniz poly sealant and again with decent results and cost per car.

i would like others opinions, though, on your favorite high pressure wax product for show and scent (and of course value).

thanks!!!

I use warsaw weathershield drying aid . Good smell, great breaking, and a residual water bead that implies some protection. Not oil based either.

When we bought the wash, the PO used a Lemon wax. A few years ago, I switched to Warsaw 547 Blueberry wax and am very happy I made the switch. Its amazing how much better it beads up and how much better it smells. People love it!

cfcw, are you using 547 or is there another blend your using? I believe the 547 is a weathershield too.

I think it is 580, but am not 100% sure. They call it weathershield drying aid. I don't know why they call it a drying aid, because it has protectant qualities.. It can be used as a straight low pressure product at around 100:1. For HP applications I use about a red tip for the tank solution, which is then further diluted when mixed with water. Oil based products can be diluted more, but I don't like using them and the cost to provide this product is well within reason. I have used 547 in the past and think it's OK, but I feel the weathershield DA is better.

I use Velocity Clear Coat (zep) I think I've got a pink tip on it. It works very good, great scent, customers love it! It will break the water without any noticeable (to the customers) product in the water so I run it just rich enough so that people can see they are getting product out. It's a little pricey per gal. tho compared to my last product, bout $140/5gal lasts longer though, not sure what costs/car is, wish I did.

Do you just replace the Eductor to use the hose barb? Or does that fit into the eductor? Do you use air with your wax, or just water? Also, it says the 5 gallons make 15. Do you dilute it into 15 gallons before you use it, or are you going straight from the 5 gallon bucket? Thanks.

I used to use KR Just Peachy, used it for a few years then started having problem with it separating. We switched over to Simoniz Lemon Glo, it works well. We've gotten away from the KR chemicals, to many problems with them.

You can make your own ultra-lean mixer for a 506 Hydrominder, just add a tee and a second eductor and tip. What seems to be most important is to have the one with the larger tip pulling from the already mixed tank closest to the eductor. I've tried it with and without a foot valve and screen in the mix tank and there doesn't seem to be any difference in how it works.

Ultra lean hose barb replaces regular one. Just screws into the educator. We use all KR in the SS with Ultra lean tips except for when the weather calls for anti freeze foam brush soap which uses a regular tip and is adjusted manually as the temperature warrants.

Had some issues with KR products like purple Passion turning to Jelly. Now just use KR Low PH fopr both High Pressure and Pre Soak which I also use in the tunnel.

Are you diluting the was 3/1 first, or just using it as is?
