I agree that I would not use shine on as an "everyday" triple foam polish, but sell it as part of a premium package. You want the customers to have a reason to upgrade. Colorguard is a good traditional foaming polish that will help with beading and smells good and would be much more economical than shine on. 5 gallons of colorguard lists for around $75 and I think I normally use it at around 90:1Greg, I can not raise my prices again, as I have done that 2 yrs in a row + my preppers get tips, & their tips have gone down 2 yrs in a row.
My touchless top pkg is $9, & ends w/ 3x foam, rinse wax/cc, dryer.
Do you think the FloroFoam does a good enough job of Show, smell & beading? I use Shine On, w/ $12 top pkg of SoftGloss as a Lava Wax type, near the end & it works GREAT. But I think it's too pricey to use as my Triple Foams on top pkg of $9.
Your thoughts?
Florofoam is a "flash foam" type product that is popular with tunnels. Florofoam dissipates quickly (a desirable trait in tunnels) where the color guard hangs around a while. The new formulation of florofoam has some of the newer polymers sourced from Europe and is being incorporated into a multi step system to get the wet look on cars that some mfgs. are touting as a "ceramic" system. Again, the ceramic claims appear to be marketing BS that the industry will probably get called on one day.
IMO the colorguard has better show in the IBA because of the hang time.
The shine on works well in a lava application, you can also top it (or even dual inject) with total shield for greater protection.
