Best way to clean tips?

Having a problem with my triple foam tip getting clogged, what is the best way to clean them? Right now I am just running them under water and using an air hose to remove whatever is clogged, but that doesn't always work. I also don't want to use paperclips as it would make the hole on some of the tips too large. Thanks!

In real bad cases you might have to soak them a while in a strong alkaline solution before blowing them out.

What size tips are you using I just changed from a 8050 to 0050 now it's like a squirt gun of foam.
