I have had to replace the break-aways too many times. Should I just switch to the flex wand?

my customers go through the bays too fast and snap.

This is usually caused by booms that don't swing back to the wall very well. Fix that, and most of your broken wand issues will go away.

Yeah someone hit my boom and bent it very badly.

Mount it out of level by putting a couple of flat washers between the boom mounting flange and the ceiling on the two holes on the wall side. It will then fall to the wall.

I actually cut a notch out of washers, so I could just loosen the bolts and slip them in like alignment shims for a car. Makes it a little easier, especially if you need to install multiple shims.

The 27 year old booms are hanging strong, despite a few bumps and bruises….

I think I just need to lubricate all of the joints to help it flow better….?
