Hi all
Does anybody has a source for a brush (like a bawl brush) to clean vacuum filter bags?
It has to be large enough to fit in the bag (about 5" in diameter) all the way around.
I could not find it in any of the hardware stores.

Thanks, Reuven

Try Erie Brush we got some brushes from them to clean out our vac's a few years ago and they work great.

The last time I walked through the janitorial section of Lowe's, they had a brush that would be perfect. It's about 5" around and has bristles all around and on the end. It looks like this one, but has a wooden handle and has bristles further down the shaft:

We cut the handle off so it’ll fit up into the vacuum past the door, leaving about a 6” piece of the handle. Then we put a piece of ¾” hose over the handle nub so it can flex when we shove it up into the filter bag so you don’t have to have your hand inside the vacuum when you’re working the brush up and down, it’s still a messy job.
