I have gravity fed plastic tanks feeding my pumps. I need to replace some tanks and want to know what kind of material to use on the bulkhead fitting. I have a few plastic and a few metal (not sure...maybe brass or copper). Seems the plastic has held up just fine and has much less corroding on it. Are you guys ok with the plastic bulkhead fittings?

Thanks!

99% of our tanks are stainless steel. The few plastic tanks we have use a plastic bulkhead fitting, they seem to hold up OK.

I used to use large plastic storage tanks for RO storage that had no holes or bulkheads and would drill a hole in the bottom edge for a 1/2" NPT plastic fitting. It should last a lifetime as long as it isn't overtightened enough to break or gets run into and damaged.
