Looking for suggestions and help in regard to clogged nozzles. Installed a brand new pump and of course had a nozzel clog - melted internals of the pump unfortunatly.

So question on Tip size - What luck might you be having with 2506 Nozzle size? Also , do you think it makes sense to cut the pump off if it gets to pressure and overheats - High temp cut off limit if it occurs.. Looking into something like this: https://www.mtmhydroparts.com/products/big-pressure-switch

What have operators come up with to mitigate this - as if and when there is a clogged nozzle - users typical just un it and run it - they really don't care what goes on in the equipment room.. Is there a fail safe to eliminate this potential future hazard?

There's a temperature relief valve you can just screw into one of the inlet ports on the pump. It will dump water on the floor if a tip clogs.

FWIW, I've been doing this for 38 years, have run a string of 14 SS car washes for several years, worked ten years at a company with 1800 customers all over the state, 500 or so I have visited and serviced at some point, and the ONLY time I've ever seen a pump "burn up" like that was when an employee would forget to turn the manual washdown switch off when she was done, and the only time I ever had a tip clog bad enough to be a problem was when I changed the gun and was in too much of a hurry to test it, came in the next day and it was completely stopped up.

As a rule, I prefer 2506 tips, but I'm running 25055 at mine now so I can turn the pressure up to 1200 and keep closer to the city's 3 GPM limit.
