Good afternoon,

I am a new operator going in to the colder season here in Western NY. We have a few locations, most of which have air lift doors that are pretty easy to switch from manual to automatic. These are electric roll up doors with the controller pictured below. They are hooked to a PDQ G5 and a Tandem. Could anyone tell me how to switch these to automatic? the G5 settings seem to be correct. I've tried to hit the arrows up and down on the left and it says error. Thank you in advance!

The air lift controller does not switch your doors from manual to automatic. That is with the settings in your PDQ wash systems and is usually tied to a thermostat to determine when to use the doors and when not to. Check the settings again on your PDQ and then check and see what temperature the thermostat is set to.

I was able to figure this out on the g5. but the tandem settings look entirely different and i cant see to get it to trigger the doors. if i use the buttons on the door controller the doors will go up and down, and if i close them and trigger a wash they will open but then they wont close on their own.

Again it's a setting on your machine. You must be missing something or your close signal for both doors is not wired correctly. Your common is white and your close is red. Make sure there wired correctly to your close relays as a dry set of contacts normally open. If they are then its your settings.
