Yes it does. 5000 vehicles in 24 hours and only capture 25? He worked with SBA and the bank and they came up with a range of .005 to .008.
 
If the new EE that was built in our city used a .005 capture rate then they would have estimated about 65 CPD......unless they used it on the road their entrance is on and then it would be only 35 CPD. Not good for a 6 million dollar (I'm guessing) car wash. They must have used .05. 😂
 
Just enough to satisfy the lender.:) We used the actual numbers from one of our washes with near the same traffic counts to make the decision. That existing wash, in a small rural town, does an average of 40 cars per day thru the automatic bay, with a traffic count of 6600. The self service bays average10 to15 customers each so we capture closer to .01.
 
I should add that the lenders mentioned several times that a loan for a new construction inbay/ self service carwash is difficult for them to figure as there just isn't comparable recent history to use, especially in our area. Having a co-signer helps a young entrepreneur in this case. The capture rate in larger population areas and for express or tunnels is probably a different animal and number.
